Olga Shnyrova
Suffragettes in the history and culture of Great Britain

For the first time in the Russian science, the monograph examines the history of suffragettes and their influence on the political and cultural life of Great Britain. The author reveals the features and causes of the evolution of the suffrage movement throughout three periods of the country's history, explaining how its supporters moved from collecting signatures for parliamentary petitions to radical measures. Attention is paid to the insufficiently explored aspects of the question: male suffragettes and the anti-suffrage movement.
